Terms of Use

Important notice
DivorceReady is a planning and organization tool. We are not lawyers, we are not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. Using DivorceReady does not create an attorney-client relationship. You are solely responsible for your decisions and outcomes. Always consult a qualified attorney or other licensed professional for advice about your specific situation.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DivorceReady website, applications, tools, content, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by DivorceReady ("DivorceReady," "we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, completing a quiz or checkout, booking through our partner portal, or otherwise using DivorceReady, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What DivorceReady is — and what it is not
DivorceReady is a pre-legal planning and organization platform. We help you organize documents, track preparation tasks, structure information, and think through practical next steps related to separation or divorce.
DivorceReady is not:
- a law firm, attorney, or legal services provider;
- a source of legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation;
- a mediator, arbitrator, court, or dispute-resolution service;
- a financial advisor, tax advisor, accountant, therapist, counselor, or crisis service;
- a substitute for professional advice tailored to your circumstances.
Any information, scores, checklists, plans, templates, scripts, summaries, AI-generated content, partner listings, or other materials provided through the Service are for educational and organizational purposes only. They are general in nature and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inapplicable to your situation.
No attorney-client, fiduciary, or professional-advisory relationship is created by your use of the Service, by communications with us, or by connecting with third-party partners through the Service.
3. No legal advice; your responsibility
You alone are responsible for how you use the Service and for any decisions you make based on it. That includes decisions about finances, housing, children, communication, documents, negotiations, filings, settlements, and whether or when to hire a lawyer or other professional.
You are solely responsible for verifying that any information you enter into or export from the Service is accurate, complete, and up to date. DivorceReady does not verify your entries and does not guarantee that any output is correct, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose, including use with attorneys, courts, mediators, or other professionals.
If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. If you are in immediate danger or facing a safety emergency, contact local emergency services or a crisis resource right away. DivorceReady is not an emergency or safety service.
4. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components; that results from the Service will meet your expectations; or that any defects will be corrected.
5. Limitation of liability — we do not take responsibility for outcomes
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DivorceReady and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any claim, loss, damage, cost, or expense arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including without limitation:
- legal, financial, tax, parenting, housing, or personal outcomes;
- decisions you make based on any content, plan, score, checklist, or tool;
- errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in information you provide or we display;
- reliance on AI-generated or automated suggestions;
- interactions, advice, services, or results from third-party partners;
- bookings, consultations, payments, or disputes involving partners;
- data loss, delays, interruptions, or security incidents;
- indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages;
- lost profits, lost opportunities, emotional distress, or reputational harm.
You use the Service at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility for what happens in your separation, divorce, negotiations, legal proceedings, family arrangements, or related matters, whether or not you used DivorceReady in connection with those matters.
If, notwithstanding the above, we are found liable for any claim related to the Service, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
6. Paid services and fees
DivorceReady charges fees for certain products and features, which may include paid plans, assessments, reports, toolkits, add-ons, and other offerings. Prices, included features, and billing terms are described at the point of purchase or in your account.
By completing a purchase, you authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge the payment method you provide for the stated amount, plus any applicable taxes. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise at checkout or in a written refund policy we publish.
We may change prices or offerings at any time. Changes will not affect purchases you have already completed, unless required by law or clearly disclosed before you confirm payment.
7. Partner portal, referrals, and compensation
DivorceReady may display independent third-party professionals and service providers ("Partners") and may allow you to request or book consultations through our partner portal or related booking flows.
Partners are independent of DivorceReady. Listing a Partner does not mean we endorse, guarantee, supervise, or control that Partner's advice, competence, availability, pricing, or results. Any engagement you enter with a Partner is solely between you and that Partner.
Disclosure of referral compensation:
DivorceReady may receive payment, commissions, referral fees, or other compensation from Partners when you request, book, or complete a consultation or other paid engagement referred through our partner portal or related referral mechanisms. That compensation may influence which Partners appear, how they are ranked or featured, or how booking opportunities are presented, though we aim to present Partners in a useful and transparent way.
Partner fees for their own services are set by the Partner and are separate from any fees you pay DivorceReady for our Service. We are not responsible for Partner billing, refunds, cancellations, service quality, advice, or outcomes.
8. Accounts and acceptable use
You may need an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service;
- upload malware or harmful content;
- harass others or misuse messaging or booking features;
- use the Service to provide legal advice to others as if you were DivorceReady;
- circumvent payment, access, or security controls.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you have violated these Terms or if needed to protect the Service, users, Partners, or our rights.
9. Your content
You retain ownership of information and materials you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, display, and use Your Content as needed to operate, improve, secure, and provide the Service, and as otherwise described in our privacy practices.
You represent that you have the rights needed to submit Your Content and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, software, branding, text, templates, and other materials (excluding Your Content and Partner materials), is owned by DivorceReady or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may use the Service for your personal, non-commercial planning purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our materials without our prior written consent.
11. Third-party services
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, payment processors, communications tools, Partners, or other services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their content, policies, or practices. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and may be subject to their terms.
12. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless DivorceReady and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, your dealings with Partners, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and may provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DivorceReady principally operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law.
15. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to support@divorceready.com.
